August 3, 1935 – April 29, 2026
Anna I. Amato, 90, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Amato. Born in East Greenwich she was a daughter of the late Carlo “Brizzy” and Rose (Truta) Montini.
Anna worked in the jewelry for many years and had also worked as a food demonstrator at the former Sam’s Club in Warwick. She had a creative hobby as an avid colorist and she loved Hallmark Movies.
She is survived by three sons Stephen P. Amato, Robert A. Amato and Michael J. Amato; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a sister Lucy N. Greene. She was the mother of the late Paula Ann Amato, the sister of the late Antony “Brizzy” Montini and the grandmother of the late Matthew A. Myers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 8:30 am – 10:00 am at the Fagan Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH. In lieu of flowers donations in Anna’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.donorservices.alz.org. Visit www.hillskeffington.com for online condolences.
