We are saddened to announce that on April 18, 2026 Barbara M. MacDonald (Forrest) passed away surrounded by her family and now is with the Lord.

Barbara was the wife of the late Frederick “Bebe” MacDonald. Barbara is survived by her Son Mark S. Oltedale, his wife Gail, and her grandson Justin Oltedale, along with her sisters, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Barbara was born in West Warwick, RI to Fredric and Helen (Erinakes) Forrest where she resided in her childhood with her siblings, the late William Forrest, Carol Akers, and Helene Martin.

In her early-teen years, Barbara and her family moved to East Greenwich and lived there for a number of years before marrying her first Husband David Oltedale. She was known as friend, a worker, and dedicated Mother to Mark. Barbara had a career working for the State of Rhode Island.

Funeral arrangements are private. Friends and family are encouraged to make a donation in her name to Hope Hospice www.hopehealth.org who we can’t thank enough for the compassionate care the provided.
