Janet M. (Mitchell) Hyland, age 78 of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Bayview at Scallabrini Nursing Home. Born on May 21, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Earle Mitchell and Evelyn (Whitney) Mitchell.
Janet dedicated her life to education, working as a teacher and touching the lives of many students.
She is survived by her loving three sons, Jason Hyland, Scott Hyland, and Chad Hyland.
She is lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
