Linda B. Gammons, 82, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Peter T. Gammons. Born in Hartford CT in August of 1943, she was the daughter of Richard G. Belcher and Marian (Magee) Belcher.
She was a loving mother to Ashley Gammons Hamilton and Richard T. Gammons and his wife Amy. Also, a loving grandmother to Ella, Natalie and Jack Gammons, and Grace and Benjamin Hamilton.
While raising her children, Linda went back to college to earn a nursing degree, and she worked as a nurse on overnight shifts while still taking care of her family. As a child, she enjoyed many summers in Maine with her parents and sister on Flying Pond, a tradition that continued with her children and grandchildren. Maine was her happy place. Linda was one of the nicest people anyone had met and was always a safe space for anyone who needed an ear. She was a member of the North Vienna Methodist Church where she and her husband spent their retired years in Mt. Vernon Maine.
She is also survived by her sister, Kathi Winter of Atlanta, GA and in-laws Robert W. Gammons (Meredith) and Nancy J. Hadfield (Robert), Ruth Gammons (predeceased Allen B. Gammons) and Donald Wheeler (predeceased Sally H. Wheeler). She will be missed by nieces, nephews, and cousins in addition to friends from her RI and Maine community.
A service to be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hill Skeffington Funeral Home of East Greenwich www.hillskeffington.com
