Nancy A. Verrier, 85, a longtime resident of East Greenwich passed away July 26, 2026. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Verrier. Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Fortunati) Ranallo.

Nancy worked for the Town of East Greenwich for 30 years retiring as Deputy Town Clerk. Prior to her career at the town hall, she was a teacher’s aide at Eldredge Elementary School in East Greenwich. She graduated from Warwick Veteran’s High School in 1958 and was involved in her classes reunion committees for years.

She loved baking and especially loved baking her Italian Christmas Cookies for all on her Christmas list. She also enjoyed many loving years of companionship with her beloved dog Roxy.

She is survived by two children, Cheryl A. Verrier and Stephen E. Verrier; siblings Marie Jenkins, Jeanne Hazard, James Ranallo, Lauire Iacono and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 8:30 am – 10:00 am in the Urquhart Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH. In Lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s name may be made to Greenwood Center Nursing & Rehabilitation, 1139 Main Ave., Warwick, RI.
