Robert J. Ackron, 88, passed away June 20, 2026. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Desrosiers) Ackron. Born in Springfield, MA he was a son of the late William and Ruth (Jones) Ackron.

He worked as a supervisor at Kenney Manufacturing in Warwick for many years. Bob was an ordained minister who pastored in many churches in Rhode Island over his career in ministry. He was a graduate of the New Tribes Bible Institute.

He served honorably in the RI Army National Guard retiring after 25 years of service.

Besides his wife he is survived by four children, Lori Haibon, Debra Adams, Tracey Poirier and Kelly Durand; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Cheryl and Charles Walsh and the brother of the late Roland and William Ackron.
