William Joseph Henry, known to family and friends as Bill, 84, of East Greenwich, RI entered into eternal rest at home on Sun, May 17.
Born on Mar 16, 1942, in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late William J. Henry Sr. and Helen (Keegan) Henry.
Bill worked as a trader for Wall Street asset management firms and spent many years with Donald Smith & Co. in Paramus, NJ.
He enjoyed reading, studying history, watching sports, playing bridge, and YouTube. He remained closely connected to his classmates and was active in the reunion committees for Woonsocket High School and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
Bill is survived by his son, Anthony Henry, and daughter-in-law, Loredana Henry, and their daughters, Emma Henry and Olivia Henry; his daughter, Jennifer Tesoro, and son-in-law, Sean Tesoro, and their children, Alexandra Tesoro, Sean Tesoro, and Kathryn Tesoro; his sister, Margaret Anez, and brother-in-law, Nicholas Anez; and his sister, Helen Arredondo.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy (McCrea) Henry, and his brother, Michael Henry.
Bill will be remembered with love by his family and friends and deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich, RI. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich, RI. Visitation will be held prior to mass from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at the Fagan Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, RI UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH, RI.
