1991–2026

Abrehet Weldemichael was born in Ethiopia and lived a life defined by faith, family, love, and selflessness.

From an early age, Abrehet carried a deep love for her family and a strong faith in God—two things that remained at the center of her life until her final days. She was a devoted partner to Nigusae Hishe and a loving mother to her three children, Ezra, Alfallat, and Joel. To Abrehet, family was everything. Much of her life was spent caring for the people she loved, guiding them, encouraging them, and making sacrifices so that those around her could have more.

Abrehet had a rare gift for making people feel heard and understood. Family and friends naturally turned to her when they needed advice, comfort, or simply someone who would listen without judgment. She carried the worries of others as though they were her own and offered strength even during times when she herself was carrying so much.

She also believed deeply in the importance of family, faith, and creating a better future for the next generation. The way she lived reflected those values—not simply through her words, but through her actions, sacrifices, and the love she poured into her children and family.

And wherever Abrehet was, there was laughter.

She had an enormous, unforgettable laugh and a warmth that could change the feeling of an entire room. Holidays and family gatherings were brighter because she was there. She brought people together, made ordinary moments memorable, and had a way of making those around her feel at home.

Above all, Abrehet was a woman of extraordinary faith.

Even while facing illness, her faith never wavered. She continued praising God and trusted Him completely. When her heart and faith called her back to Ethiopia, she went—giving her the precious opportunity to spend time with her family before returning home to be with her partner and children.

Even as she approached the end of her life, Abrehet faced it with remarkable peace. She comforted the very people who were preparing to lose her, telling her family:

“Do not cry if I pass. I am going to my Father.”

Those words captured the way Abrehet lived—with faith stronger than fear.

Abrehet entered eternal rest on September 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving sisters, partner, and children.

Her life cannot be measured simply by the years she was given. It is measured by the people she loved, the sacrifices she made, the children she raised, the faith she demonstrated, the laughter she shared, and the countless lives made better because she was part of them.

Her physical presence will be deeply missed. Holidays will sound different without her laugh. Family gatherings will feel different without her warmth. There will always be a space that belongs uniquely to Abrehet.

But what she gave does not leave with her.

Her faith lives on.

Her love lives on.

Her lessons live on.

And most importantly, her legacy lives on through her children and through every person fortunate enough to have been loved by her.

Abrehet lived her life trusting God, and in the end, she returned to the Father she trusted so completely.

May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory and legacy live on for generations to come.
