Aguinaldo G. Soares, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family, after courageously facing declining health in recent years. Born on December 7, 1937, in Brava, Cabo Verde, Aguinaldo built a life rooted in strength, love, and perseverance. In 1978, he made the life-changing journey to the United States with his family, where he continued to work hard, provide for those he loved, and uphold the values that shaped his character.
He was the beloved son of the late Jose and Rosa (Gomes) Soares.
Aguinaldo is survived by his cherished wife, Maria Elizabeth (Deburgo) Soares; his brother Daniel Soares; his children Jose Soares and wife Linda, Rosa Soares, Joanna Soares and husband Jason Baskins. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Elizabeth Soares, Julian Soares, Nathaniel Soares, Natalia Soares, Jeremiah Baldwin, and Darius Soares, and a joyful great-grandfather to Jared Houlihan Jr.
He was predeceased by his sister, Margarida Gomes, and three brothers: Joao Soares, Carlos Soares, and Fortunato Soares.
Aguinaldo will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering devotion to his family, and the legacy of love, resilience, and unity he leaves behind.
