Alice Malveto, 81, of St. Marys, Georgia, formerly of Warwick, RI, and Attleboro, MA, passed away on March 12, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1943, in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late John F. and Alice A. (Carruthers) Lederman. Alice is preceded in death by her sister J. Wendy Nelson and brother-in-law Robert S. Nelson Sr.
Alice dedicated thirty years of her life to Brown & Sharpe before retiring to her cherished retreat, Cape Cod. She found joy in simple pleasures, relishing in watching the Patriots play, savoring cocktail hours outdoors during the summer, and treasuring moments spent with her loved ones.
She is survived by her devoted children Donna M. Vispo and her husband Michael A. Vispo, Lori A. Stewart and her husband Jim Stewart, Joann L. Donovan and her husband Michael P. Donovan, as well as her three grandchildren, Amanda M. and Michaela Vispo, and Ryan C. Donovan. Additionally, she is survived by cherished nephew, Robert S. Nelson Jr and niece, Amy K. Nelson Bryant.
A celebration of Alice's life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the calling hour, from 9 am to 10am, at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, followed by a funeral service at 11 am at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Warwick. Burial will take place at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown.
