Anastasia (Ioannidis) Stoukides, 102, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Orthodox Holy Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Born in Papingo, Greece on January 2, 1920 to the late Alexander and Theodora (Papachrones) Ioannidis. She was the beloved wife for 73 years of the late William M. Stoukides who passed in 2008. She was predeceased by her three brothers, George, Elefterios, and Apostolos Ioannidis. Anastasia immigrated to the United States in 1947 with her eldest daughter, Octavia, to reunite with her husband after World War II. She was a woman of courage, strength, and humility yet with great pride in her family and heritage. She was a deeply faithful woman and a life long member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Pawtucket. She was also a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society having served on its board for many years. She was a cherished and beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great- grandmother, and aunt. Anastasia brought great joy along with wise counsel to everyone. Anastasia is survived by her four loving daughters: Octavia Lehourites and her husband Charles Lehourites, Theodora Kapos and her husband William Kapos, Thea Mancini and her husband Dr. Melvin Mancini, and Roxanne Gordon. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Peter, William, and Christopher Lehourites, Stephanie (Kapos) Todd, Michael Kapos, Kristen Mancini, Alexis Anastasia Mancini, MD, Alexandra Gordon, Esq, and Charles Gordon, as well as six great-grandsons: Jonathan, Charles, and Nicholas Lehourites, Alexander and William Todd, and George Kapos. She leaves many nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece. Funeral services for Anastasia will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4-7pm at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to the J.F.
