Annmarie Hughes

64, of Cranston, RI died May 17, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital after a twenty-three month battle with Central Nervous System Lymphoma. She was the daughter of the late George F. Hughes and the late Ann (Fenlon) Clare Hughes. Annmarie was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Bay View; Mt. St. Joseph College and Lesley University. She enjoyed a thirty-five year career in Social Services most recently as the Executive Director of Spurwink School in Lincoln. She leaves behind her beloved brother Maurice (Moe) Clare and his significant other Susan Johnson, his children Erin (Clare) Sears and Kevin Clare and their six children. She is also survived by her dear friend, Sharon Braitsch, her god-children Matthew and Allary Braitsch, and cousins Brenda Hughes, Paul Hughes and Vincent Hughes. Annmarie will be remembered for her devotion, her generosity, her non-stop shopping and her love of chocolate. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted and funeral services will be private.
