Barbara Beatrice Benson

Barbara Beatrice Benson, 89, of East Greenwich passed away January 10, 2017. She was the wife of the late Maurice E. Benson. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Julius K. and Beatrice (Nuttall) Gorton.

Mrs. Benson worked in the Banking industry for many years and was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

She is survived by a daughter Christina L. Dufault and her husband Steven and a son Roger E. Benson and his wife Monica, grandchildren; Chelsea Beatrice, Benjamin and Joshua Dufault and a brother Ralph Gorton.

Funeral Service Saturday, January 14th at 10:00am at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Calling hours: Friday, January 13th 5-7pm. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Brentwood Nursing Home.
