Barbara A. Fazzano

Barbara Ann (Mirando) Fazzano, of East Greenwich, RI, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025. Born on November 18, 1931, in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of Felix Anthony Mirando and Irene (Denish) Mirando, and the wife of the late Henry William Fazzano.

Barbara was a graduate of Rosemont College (PA) and received a Master of Education from Rhode Island College. Following graduation, she worked for many years at Meeting Street School. In her free time, she enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling, and doing countless jigsaw puzzles, but valued above all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family will forever cherish their memories with “Gammy” from their many trips together, especially their vacations to Nantucket, the Caribbean, Italy, and England.

Barbara is survived by her two children, William Henry Fazzano and Margaret Fazzano Batchelder, her son-in-law Richard D. Batchelder, Jr., four grandchildren, Jacqueline DeNuccio, Christina Fazzano, Edward (Teddy) Batchelder and William Batchelder, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Brown, and pre-deceased by her two brothers, Robert Mirando and Felix Anthony Mirando, Jr.

The family would like to thank all of Barbara’s caregivers who supported her at home, as well as the caring and attentive staff at Saint Elizabeth Community’s Green House Home 15. Barbara’s family are grateful for the exceptional care and kindness she received from these compassionate individuals.

Funeral services will be private.
