Beverly A. Capuano (Castellone) of East Greenwich, Rhode Island died July 6th at age 71 surrounded by her loving family at St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Gloria (Caruto) Castellone. She was the devoted former wife of Richard Capuano, mother to Tara and Leah (favorite Jeffrey). She is survived by her loving niece Stephanie Castellone, and favorite cousin Joey Broccoli. She was the sister of the late Robert Castellone.
She was a loving GiGi (Gorgeous Grandma) to Andrew, Abigail, Alex and James. She most recently enjoyed visits from her grand dog Penny.
Beverly earned her bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College and a master's degree in special education at Providence College. She taught for many years in the Warwick School system. She gave up her teaching career to raise her daughters and maintain a lovely home in Seekonk, Massachusetts and then East Greenwich, Rhode Island. She loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. She was instrumental in building a successful business, Capco Plastics in Providence, Rhode Island alongside her husband.
She was proud to be named 9 hole league champion in 1995 at Quidnessett Country Club. She enjoyed many gatherings at Conversations surrounded by family and friends. She had a love of food, especially chinese and Richard's Pub fried clams. She loved lemonade and an occasional margarita, at her favorite restaurant Capriccio. She loved Barry Manilow, Toby Keith, playing cards and doing wonder words.
Bev loved the beach and her most special place was traveling to Maui, Hawaii with her beloved Cap.
After suffering a traumatic brain injury in 1996, Bev tried her hardest to be the person she was before. The last few years were not kind to Beverly and we are grateful for the the wonderful care she received by her friend and companion Shirley Nordin and all the staff at St. Elizabeth's. She was most blessed to have the steadfast and loving friendship of Joyce Tomecko for 50 years. She recently enjoyed a celebratory day seeing her very good friend Brenda Orio, reminiscing about times shared and happy memories.
