Carmen Genarina Valdez Ortega "Nana," 72, of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family January 17, 2022. Genarina was born on September 19, 1949, in the Dominican Republic of the late Pedro Valdez & Mercedes Valdez.   She was a devoted mother of Ronald E Hidalgo (son), Edwin A Ortega (son), Liza E Gonzalez (daughter), Paul A Ortega (son), Anny Valdez, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves behind Milagros Valdez (sister), Jose Valdez (brother), Raphael Polanco (brother). Genarina “Nana” was inspired by arts & crafts and was also a plant lover. She loved music, dancing, and was a loving and caring individual. Arrangements entrusted to the J.F.
