Carol T. Dombrowski

"As for me, I exalt my God/and my spirit rejoices in the king of heaven." (TB 13:7)

Carol Theresa Dombrowski, born April 16, 1939, a beloved family member, a cherished Catholic educator, and a dear friend to many, passed away on July 18, 2025 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Jennie Dombrowski, and moving to North Kingstown in 1954, Carol dedicated her life to the service of God through education, ministry, and her unwavering commitment to the mission of the church. Carol and her family have been members of the St. Francis deSales Parish for over 70 years. Carol deeply valued education and received her Master's of Education degree from Rhode Island College in 1973. Throughout her vocation, Carol served as a teacher and Director of Religious Education at St. Benedict's Parish in Warwick, St. Francis Xavier Parish in East Providence, and Our Lady of Fatima in Cumberland, R.I. She was known for her compassionate leadership, academic excellence, and deep faith, all of which earned her numerous accolades and led her to a consulting position with Our Sunday Visitor Publishing Co.

Carol's faith also directed her personal life, where she was a regular volunteer with St. Francis de Sales church in North Kingstown. She also worked tirelessly with Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH) to arrange rides for seniors to who need assistance travelling to their doctor appointments.

Carol is survived by her beloved brother, Jim, sisters, Veronica Robertson and Jean Dombrowski, her niece, Christine Meister (Tim, Erika), nephew John Robertson, numerous loving family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Dombrowski and nephew, Jim Robertson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown, RI. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown, RI. Calling hours:Tuesday, July 22nd from 4-6 pm in the Fagan – Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, RI UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL – SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis deSales church, Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters, or Sisters of the Presentation.    

May Carol rest in eternal peace, her life a testament to the love and service she so generously gave.
