Carol P. Milano, 77, of East Greenwich, RI, passed away peacefully at her home on April 29, 2025. Born December 20, 1947, in East Greenwich, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late John P. Pierne Sr. and Yolanda (Fuscaldo) Pierne of Norwalk, CT.
Carol was predeceased by her brother, John P. Pierne Jr.; her sister-in-law, Pamela Pierne; and her nephew, Patrick R. Pierne, all of Shelton, CT. She also mourned the loss of her two cherished dogs, Bogart and Dancer.
She is survived by her nephew, John P. Pierne III; her niece, Cheryl (Pierne) Brennan of Old Saybrook, CT; and her niece, Lisa (Pierne) Grosso of Fairfield, CT. Carol also leaves behind several great-nieces and nephews: Ryan P. Brennan, Meghan C. Brennan, Alyssa M. Pierne, Shannon K. Brennan, Ashley T Grosso, and John P Grosso, Jr.
Raised in Stamford, CT, on High Ridge Road, Carol graduated from Rippowam High School before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Connecticut, Storrs. She continued her studies in advertising and public relations at the University of Bridgeport.
Carol dedicated a decade of her career to Marketplace Publications Inc. in New Canaan, CT, where she served as Assistant Publisher and Special Projects Manager. She was a longtime member of the Stamford Jaycee Women, the East Greenwich-Cowessett New Neighbors Club, Greenwich Bay Women’s Club in Rhode Island and St Francis de Sales Church, North Kingston RI.
A devoted animal lover, Carol volunteered with numerous charitable organizations and support groups. She was a literary volunteer at Kent County . She found great joy in spending time at the beach, listening to live bands, and sharing thoughtful notes and cards with family and friends.
Carol will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering thoughtfulness. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Service Wednesday May 14th at 11:00 am at the Fagan Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown under the direction of the HILL – SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH. Burial will be private. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to a local animal rescue or St. Francis de Sales Church.
