Charles J. Davey, Jr.

57, passed away in The Veterans Medical Center on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Born in Providence, he was the son of Lorena M. (Roy) Davey and the late Charles J. Davey. Charles was a retired Staff Sargent in the Supply Unit of the United States Army. His prior service was in the United States Navy and the Army National Guard serving in "Operation Iraqi Freedom." He was also a lifelong Bristol Volunteer Fireman. Surviving besides his Mother is his Daughter Shealyn A. Davey and his step-daughter, Lindsey E. Ponte. He was the brother of Patricia M. Davey and the late Mary K. DiPrete. He is also survived by his former wife, Lisa M. Davey and his companion, Hong Nhung Vo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 12th at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours in the J.F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Burial with Military Honors in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bristol Rhode Island.
