Charles E. Ellis, Jr.

Charles E. Ellis, Jr., 96, passed away September 17, 2025. He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Booth) Ellis. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Charles E. and Minnie T. (Tate) Ellis.

Mr. Ellis was the Owner & President of the former Charles L. Booth, Inc, he also was in partnership with Kawasaki of RI and was the Co- Owner of the former Canopy Club in North Kingstown. He was the State Director of the former Good Sam of Rhode Island and a board member of Glenwood Cemetery in East Greenwich.

He is survived by two children Charles E. Ellis, III (Susan) and Cherrie R. Dorsey (the late Stephen); two grandchildren Adrienne Medeiros (Matt) and Bethany Mong (Derrick) ; sister Dorothy Aanonsen; five great grandchildren Kasey Ellis, Jonathan Mong, Zachary Medeiros, Connor Medeiros and Kayleigh Medeiros and several nieces and nephews. He was the great grandfather of the late William Mong.

Funeral service Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Fagan – Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, www.shrinerschildrens.org
