Constance (Ferrelli) Podedworny, “Connie” 97, of East Greenwich passed away on September 4, 2017. Born in Warwick she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Philomena (Zinni) Ferrelli. Connie was married to the late Joseph P. Podedworny.
During WWII Connie served as a Red Cross Volunteer. She attended the RI School of Design and worked at the former Gorham’s Manufacturing in the Design Dept. After moving to East Greenwich in 1963, she was employed by Bostitch Employees Credit Union. Upon retirement she and her husband served as volunteer drivers for Insight. Connie’s artistic talent showed through her paintings and in her creations of unusual holiday decorations.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Marcia and her husband, Bruce Bullinger, her sons, David, J. Peter and his wife Deborah Hornung, one grandchild, David and her sister, Theresa Martucci. She was the sister of the late Mary Confreda, Anna Syner, Esther Gallo, Vera D’Amore, and Ernest and Joseph Ferrelli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 8th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be private. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in Connie’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
