Cynthia A. McGrady

Cynthia Ann (Lincoln) McGrady passed away at the Green House Home in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, January 23, 2026—one day before her 83rd birthday—after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Cyndie lived a full life marked by kindness, caring for others, and creating beautiful memories with her family and friends.

She was born on January 24, 1943, on the Lincoln Brothers Dairy farm in Taunton (Westville), Massachusetts, to the late Charles and Helen (Jardine) Lincoln. She enjoyed a childhood filled with farm life, swimming holes, square dances, ice skating on local ponds, and summer vacations in Maine.

Cyndie’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving sister, Virginia (Lincoln) Richardson. She was an amazing mother to her three children: Mark McGrady (Megan), Kevin McGrady (Lori), and Jennifer Bock (Danny). She had a deep bond with her six grandchildren: Kayla, Aidan, Alyssa, Kylie, Brielle, and Devyn. She is also survived by her former husband, William McGrady (Carolyn), as well as a niece and three nephews.

Family and friends meant everything to Cyndie. She spent her entire life focused on raising her children and building lifelong relationships with her dear friends. The times she cherished most were those spent with family, including birthday parties, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations, overnights at her condo with the grandchildren, pool parties, Christmas gatherings, and Thanksgivings in the old barn.

Cyndie is remembered as a kind, sweet, caring, selfless person who always put others first. She was always the first to send a birthday card or Christmas card to friends and family. She often wrote letters of comfort to those she cared about during difficult times.

Although her primary vocation was raising her family, Cyndie also held several other jobs throughout her life, including hairdresser, directory assistance operator for AT&T/Verizon, pharmacy technician for CVS, and companion for the elderly with Home Instead.

A celebration of Cyndie’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Cyndie’s memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at https://www.michaeljfox.org
