52, of Fairfield, CT passed away on December 19, 2018. He was the loving husband of Eileen (May) Landry and adoring father of his children Conor, Alana, and Christopher.
A dedicated family man, he was happiest when with them. He delighted in family vacations, especially on the beach at Hilton Head and, in his younger years, spending summers with his DiMario grandparents and relatives in Italy.
Born in Providence, RI on November 10, 1966, he was the beloved son of Mary Ann (DiMario) Landry and the late Joel D. Landry, Esq. He was the treasured grandson of the late Dora (LaFazia) and Angelo DiMario and the late Mary (Winner) and L. Daniel Landry.
He leaves behind his grieving siblings David (Kay) Cook, Joel D. Landry II, Esq (Courtney Prete), Johanna (Michael) Pimental, and Thomas (Dawn) Landry. He was also a special son to his in-laws, Mona (Halpin) and Cary May of Greenwich, CT and brother to Mary Beth and the late Matthew Brown, Doreen and Richard Catalani, Kristin and Brendan Galvin, Janine and Steve Scharff, Cary May and Colin May. He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews and dearly loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dan was a proud honor graduate of Classical High School, where he played varsity baseball and football. He was a graduate of Boston College, Class of 1989, where he met his best friend and brother Dan Mercer.
He worked for Marcam Data Systems and Boehringer Ingelheimer prior to becoming a self-employed software developer and I.T. consultant. Dan was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, active in Scouting with Boy Scout Troop 90 in Fairfield, CT. He was former Secretary for Fairfield Cares, with a strong desire to make a difference in the community he loved. He inspired all who knew him with his strong moral compass and was loved by all who were privileged to know him.
Calling hours will be Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4-8 pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road Fairfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield, CT. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetary in Greenwich, CT.
