David F. Devenish

passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the age of 70. He was the son of the late Joseph E. Devenish, Sr. and Sally (Higgins) Devenish Dave graduated from Providence College in 1966 where he was in the Army ROTC Program. He served as a Captain and Company Commander in Vietnam. After he was discharged he worked for many years at the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Massachusetts. He loved sports, especially golf and tennis. He is survived by his brother Joseph E. Devenish Jr. and Louise as well as his cat and BEST FRIEND, SETH. The funeral will be held from the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence on Thursday at 9am followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St Augustine's Church, Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence at 10am. Burial with Military Honors will be at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7pm.
