David “Dave” Peirce Rodriguez, 92, a lifelong resident of East Greenwich, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Margaret Louise (Martin) and Camilo Rodriguez.

Dave attended Providence Country Day School, and later graduated from the Dublin School in Dublin, N.H. He also briefly attended Colorado College before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was a Korean War veteran and was proud of his service.

Dave was employed at the former Davol Rubber Company in Providence, before working as a shipfitter at General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown for more than 20 years. After retiring from Electric Boat, he worked at Stop & Shop in North Kingstown for many years.

Dave was a Mason, and a member of the East Greenwich Veterans Fireman's Club, and The Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus. He also marched with the Kentish Guards in East Greenwich for several years and was a former deacon at Shawmut Baptist Church in Warwick. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in East Greenwich.

Dave was an avid fan of New England sports teams, including the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He also liked to travel, particularly enjoying six cruises to the Caribbean.

Dave leaves his two children, David Paul Rodriguez, of Providence, and his daughter, Nancy Corina Rodriguez (Robert Gates), of Virginia, and a grandson, Israel Gates. He also leaves his longtime companion, Linda Norris, and her four sons, Patrick, Brian, Aaron, and Jack, his wife, Kristen, and their son, Connor, and daughter, Hayden, and Linda’s many relatives. He remained friendly with his former wife of 33 years, Marilyn Rodriguez of East Greenwich, until his death.

A private burial service will be held at a later date.
