Dean Allan Mansfield, age 88, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025. Born on May 8, 1936, in Pulaski County, Indiana. After high school Dean proudly served in the navy, aboard the USS Lookout as a machinist’s mate until 1959. Following his service to his country, Dean studied at New England Tech, which led to him becoming a master pipefitter for 60 years.
Dean resided in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, for 51 years, where he found immense joy in spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Kathleen Neri Mansfield, and his devoted daughters, Deana Mansfield Arnold (Michael) of Coventry, RI, and Jamie Mansfield Clarke (James) of East Greenwich, RI. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren, Kristina Games, Keith Games (Kayla), Dean Games, Adriana Games (George), Isabella Clarke, Sophia Clarke, Abygail Clarke, and Maximus Clarke, as well as his six great-grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Dean is also survived by his brother, Jimmie Mansfield of Girard, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Mansfield of Florida, his father, Lester Mansfield of Springfield, PA, and his mother, Rose Mansfield of Buffalo, NY.
Dean was a hard worker and could always be counted on to get the job done. Known as "The Legend" in the pipefitting industry, his expertise and dedication were unparalleled. In his spare time Dean found immense joy in riding and taking trips on his motorcycle with his loving wife. He was a family man at heart, Dean's protective nature and unwavering love for his family were evident until the very end. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are in invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday February 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Dean's memory.
