Dorothy A. Cunningham

Dorothy A. Cunningham, 87, of East Greenwich, passed away May 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Cunningham.  Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Louise A. (Corcoran) Woodall.

Mrs. Cunningham was a Licensed Pratical Nurse for many years with the medical personnel pool.  She was a proud graduate of Elmhurst Academy for Girls in Providence, a member of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church.

She and her husband Joe were married for 51 years and proud parents of their twelve children.

She is survived by her children; Dr. Paul F. Cunningham and his wife Suzanne, Edward J. Cunningham and his wife Laurie, William J. Cunningham and his wife Libby, Robert J. Cunningham, Ann E. Booth and her husband Roy, Mary Ellen Smith and her husband Jim, Mark R. Cunningham, Thomas M. Cunningham and his husband Glen, Richard M. Cunningham and his wife Stacey, James P. Cunningham and David J. Cunningham; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Patricia G. Cunningham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 23 ^rd at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  Calling hours:  Tuesday, May 22 ^nd 5-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Elizabeth Community Home.
