Dorothy M. (Leddy) Allegra

82, of Buttonwoods Ave, died at home September 18, 2012 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Dr. Salvatore R. Allegra. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary E. (Policastro) Leddy. Dorothy had worked at Saint Joseph Hospital as an Administrative Assistant in the Laboratory and Pathology Department. She was a graduate of Saint Patrick's High School, a member and past president of The Saint Joseph Hospital Women's League and the University Club. She was the sister of Francis R. and Ronald J. Leddy, Muriel A. McDade and the late Joseph P. Leddy, Jr. Aunt of several nieces and nephews and a dear friend of Jean Rivera. Visiting hours in the J. F. Skeffington Chapel, located at 925 Chalkstone Avenue Providence, are Saturday, September 22, 9:00-11:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road Warwick at 12:00PM.
