Edward M. Medici, 90, passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 22, 2024. He was the husband of Zilda (Nahabedian) Medici.
Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Guido and Olympia Medici.
Besides his wife of 63 years he is survived by his son Edward Medici (Deb), his daughter Susan DeBerardis (Henry) and his daughter Bristol Marley; his granddaughters Sophie DeBerardis and Tivoli DaSilva, as well as his brother Donald Medici and his sister Paula Hebert. He was brother to the late Helen Gal. Edward was uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A veteran of the United States Army, where he served honorably in the Korean War, Edward was a designer with Gorham Manufacturing and in 1960 he founded and was President of Tivoli Jewelry Co., Inc., where he was a well-regarded designer and manufacturer. In retirement Edward continued designing and remained active in the industry.
Edward loved sailing, golfing, oil painting and sculpture, and was an avid reader and student of American history, art and architecture. A loyal local sports fan, Edward enjoyed following the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and the Patriots.
