Edward Scriven

Edward Scriven, 79, of Providence, passed away November 28, 2023 at Hebert Health Center of Smithfield, RI. He was born January 28, 1944 to the late Joseph and Lillian (Sullivan) Scriven. He graduated from Blessed Sacrament of Providence and obtained his Master's in Library Science from Johnson and Wales. He is survived by a sister, Marilyn Pittman, of Cranston. He was the brother to the late Lois Flores of New York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Eddie loved animals especially his dear cat Smudge. He was an avid movie fan, loved to read and could recite just about anything from times past. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends. In his earlier days he filled his passport with travels to Ireland and London. Service to be held at 9:00 a.m. on December 14, 2023 at St. Ann's Chapel. A private burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston, RI. Arrangements entrusted to Skeffington Funeral Home, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
