Eileen C. (Cummings) Heaton

92, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 in Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alan J. Heaton. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John & Helen (Curran) Cummings. Eileen was a graduate of Pembroke College. She was employed as a secretary at Brown University and a substitute teacher at St Pius V School Providence. She was a volunteer at Fatima Hospital and a member of the Garden Club. She is survived by three children Barbara A. , Christopher J., and Donald F. Heaton and the late Alan J. Heaton Jr., also three grandchildren. A mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence on Friday at 10:00am to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday at the J F Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
