Elaine began school at the University of Massachusetts, until she met the love of her life, got married and started a family. In addition to raising her family, she enjoyed tennis, playing bridge, reading, garden club and being by the ocean.

When her children went to college, so did Elaine. She returned to complete her education and received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Framingham State University. She then worked with Samaritans and served the Lord by starting the Needs Ministry at Christ Church in East Greenwich, RI.

Her faith was an extremely important part of her life. Elaine was an active member at her church serving as an Elder for many years. She raised her children and grandchildren to put their faith in Jesus above all else.

Known as “Mima” to her ten grandchildren, Elaine was a loving and caring grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with each of them and getting to know all of their unique passions and gifts. She will be missed immensely by all who knew her.

The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses in the MICU at Rhode Island Hospital for their amazing and very loving care of Elaine and her entire family.

A celebration of her life will begin with calling hours Wednesday, September 7 at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, RI from 4:00-7:00 PM.
