Elizabeth M. Tully

Elizabeth M. Tully, 62, passed away April 1, 2018.  She was the wife of Sanford H. Tully. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Joseph J. Sousa, Jr. and Patricia A. (Rinaldi) Sousa.

Mrs. Tully had been a school secretary at Quidnessett Elementary School for 28 years.  She was the costumer for the Quidnessett Elementary Drama program and the North Kingstown Players, creating and sewing hundreds of costumes over the course of dozens of shows.  She was involved in North Kingstown Little League Baseball for years, was currently State Committeewoman for District #32 and had been Past Chairman of the North Kingstown Democratic Town Committee.  She was also a voracious reader and, of course, she was a die-hard Red Sox fan.  (Possibly their biggest fan!)

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by a son Jeffery E. Del Gigante; stepsons Jeffrey M. and Joseph V. Tully; siblings Maureen P. and Joseph R. Sousa and 8 grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Kathleen G. Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 5 ^th at 10:00am at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown.  Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.  Calling hours Wednesday, April 4 ^th 4-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.
