Elvira (Cardinale) Diorio

92, formerly of Cranston, a retired nurse, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Briarcliff Nursing Home. Elvira was the wife of the late Ralph DiOrio. A daughter of the late Alessandro and Florence (Cappello) Cardinale. She worked as a nurse at Roger Williams Hospital. She was a communicant of St Mark's Church Cranston. She is survived by a son, Gary DiOrio of Estero, Florida; three daughters, Cheryl Toolan of Barrington, Kathy DiOrio of Johnston, and Tami Sasso of Cranston; a sister, Evelyn Miozza of Ft Myers Beach, Florida; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial in St Mark's Church, 9 Garden City Court, Cranston on Saturday  at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours in the J.F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence on Friday from 6-8pm. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery in Cranston, Rhode Island.
