Erika Tazberik, 37 years old of Providence, passed away unexpectedly May 25, 2021.
Erika is survived by her mother Erika Tazberik and brother George Tazberik and pre-deceased by her father Juraj Tazberik. Aunts and Uncles in Berta, Tazberik, Schwarc, Hrnciar and Gakova family. Cousins and friends in Berta, Hrnciar, Tazberik, Schwarc, Labuda, Scambor, Kica, Bilanovic, Kurimsky, Javorka Pazsitsky, Wright, Kulich, Bezak family and many others who knew her.
Cousins: Ferike and Peter Berta, Lucka and Roland Schwarc, Julius Schwarc, Veronica and Marek Hrnciar, Miriam and Andrea Scamborova, Tobike and Alec Tazberik. Childhood friends in USA: Stephanie Krutsick, Amber Peterson, Daniel Dawson and Zack and Sarika and Julika Pazsitsky. In Slovakia: Lucka, Ivetka, Katka and Ivko Labuda, Natalia Kovacs, Marcelka and Dusana Dzurkova.
All friends from Neutrogena, Skinintegra, RISD and the artist community from Wedding Cake House project and Dirt Palace.
Erika graduated from Marina High School Huntington Beach California and FIDM Los Angeles California and RISD in Providence RI.
Erika was self-employed for the Erika Tazberik Studio Providence. A key support member for Skinintegra Inc a start up skincare company in Huntington Beach in honor of her Dad.
Previously worked at Neutrogena in Los Angeles. The Providence Antheneum Providence. Volunteer on art projects at Brown University, restoration of the Wedding Cake House and Dirt Palace with Pippi Zornoza and Xander Marro.
Her passion was ceramic art with complex pieces and designs. She loved cooking and creating extraordinary vegetarian dishes, baked goods.Â
She cared so much for her family, friends and her Professors Linda and Larry and other mentors. She loved supporting the art community, The Steel Yard in Providence. She truly cared for other people and the environment.
There will be a memorial service from 3:00-4:30pm on Thursday, June 3rd in the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
