Ernest G. Boutote

Ernest G. Boutote, 85, passed away April 3, 2017. He was the husband of Irene L. (Swierad) Boutote. Born in Chicoppe, MA he was a son of the late Ernest O. and Helen V. (Suidak) Boutote.

Mr. Boutote was a guidance counselor for 37 years in the Warwick School system and was also a golf coach. He was a graduate of St. Michael’s College and Boston University. He was an avid golfer and reader. He enjoyed painting and was an Eagle Scout.

Beside his wife he is survived by two children; Mary L. Warth (David) and Robert E. Boutote (Marina), four grandchildren and a sister Joan Flickinger (James).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 8th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 8:30 am – 10:30 am in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the East Greenwich Free Library, 82 Peirce St., East Greenwich, RI 02818 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
