Evelyn Florence (Cardinale) Miozza

d. March 1, 2019

Evelyn Florence (Cardinale) Miozza

was born as the youngest of four, to loving parents Florence Cappelli Cardinale and Alessandro Cardinale. At 83 years old, she was the last of her family to be called home to heaven. Evelyn grew up in the Mount Pleasant area of Providence where she attended school until graduation. Years later she would meet and marry her lifelong partner and husband, Michael Miozza. She worked for a short time for AT&T until Michael persuaded her to stay home where she would have more time to satisfy his voracious appetite for her excellent cooking! She and Michael did not have children but Evelyn doted on her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She made all of them feel special with her infectious smile and warm laugh. Her home was full of photographs of her beloved family. Evelyn's enthusiasm for her various pursuits was infectious and she threw herself in to whatever caught her interest: needlepoint, tole painting, raising orchids, or refinishing the beautiful antiques she enjoyed hunting for. Evelyn was a woman of many talents. She was ahead of her time and recognized the importance of organic eating and supplements before it was trendy and taught her doctors a thing or two! She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews and their families who were blessed to have her in their lives and by whom she will be dearly missed. She was the sister of the late Norman Cardinale, Marie Muoio and Vera DiOrio. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston on Monday, March 11th at 11:00am to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours in the J.F.
