Filomena I. Lomi, 95, of Smithfield, a long-time resident of Lincoln and formerly of Johnston, RI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Filomena was the wife of the late Averaldo J. Lomi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Donata (Spremulli) Calitri.
She is survived by her children, Peter Lomi and Lu-Ann Lomi-Ferriera; grandchildren Makayla Lomi, John Lomi, and Mark Ferreira; great-granddaughter Isabella Jordan; sisters Marie (Calitri) Dowiot and Virginia (Calitri) Eagan. She was the sister of the late Anna (Calitri) Verna and Anthony Calitri.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours: Tuesday, July 24, 2018, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main Street, East Greenwich. Donations in lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hope Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
