Fred Engle, age 75, a resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25th at Rhode Island hospital. Fred had a kind soul. He was very giving to his family and to the community.
Fred was born February 2, 1946 to Gilbert and Nona Engle in Oshkosh, WI. He was survived by two sons (John and Paul) and two grandchildren (Alex and Brady.)
Fred was successful and excelled at each of his careers including: ice cream maker alongside his father and grandfather, Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War, machinist, engineer, landlord, owned his own computer programing company, caretaker to the elderly, boat salesman, U.S Civilian Merchant Marine Officer.
Fred moved to Rhode Island in 1998 to peruse sailing and what would be his biggest passion directing, producing, and filming video. His path led him to Rhode Island Public Access TV (PEG) where he worked on many programs including Straight Talk, Deadly Experiment, Jazz Talk, Heavy TV and Safe Kids & Friends to name a few.
