Frederick W. Lumb

Frederick W. Lumb, 72, of East Greenwich, RI and The Villages, FL sadly passed on January 2, 2019. He was born in Providence on July 16, 1946, the son of the late Frederick Lumb.  Fred is survived by his beloved mother Carmela ((Incollingo) Lumb, loving brother James Lumb, loving sister in law Jane Sweeney and loving great uncle Rev. Msgr. Nicholas Iacovacci.

As the loving husband of the late Lina (Gendron) Lumb, Fred became a wonderful father to Fred, Andrew and Jeffrey Lumb.  Dad gave his children everything good in the world that he could possibly give.  His guidance and love will be painfully missed.  Dad was a kind, generous and thoughtful man who could light up a room with laughter and happiness.  He gave so much love and did so many good things for so many people.  Fred humbly received his business degree from Providence College, MSW from BU, and MPA from URI, using every ounce of his knowledge only to better the lives of his family, co-workers and friends.  Fred worked passionately as a well-liked investigative supervisor for the State of RI for well over 30 years.

Fred was also survived by the beloved Maryanne Pasek, with whom he fell in love with in the later years of his life. When passing, Fred was traveling to meet Maryanne in The Villages Square, FL where they spent so many joyous nights listening to music, laughing and talking about family.

A Requiem Eucharist will be held Saturday, January 12 ^th at 10:00am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 55 Main St., Wickford.  Burial will be in Quidnesett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.  Calling hours:  Friday, January 11 ^th 5-7pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.
