In Loving Memory of Frederick J. “Junior” Tyson

Frederick J. Tyson, affectionately known to his family and loved ones as Junior, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend who will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Junior was born to Sheila Tyson and the late Frederick Tyson Sr. He was raised by his beloved grandmother, the late Grace Braxton known as “GG”, who cared for and raised him from childhood until he left home. Junior shared a very special bond with GG. She was an important part of his life, and her love and guidance stayed with him throughout the years. GG passed away on January 16, 2026, and now Junior has joined her. We find comfort in knowing that they are together again.

Junior was a family-oriented man who experienced many different ventures throughout his life. He was a brother to one brother and three sisters and a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Although he did not have children of his own, his family was important to him, and he was deeply loved by those around him.

Junior could be tough , but underneath that toughness was a loving heart. He also had a silly side that brought laughter and unforgettable moments to the people around him. He was truly one of a kind, and his presence will never be replaced.

Unfortunately, Junior became sick, and after his battle with illness, he left us. While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we will forever cherish the memories, laughter, love, and moments we shared with him.

Junior will forever be missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His memory will live on through his family, nieces, nephews, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest peacefully, Junior. Give GG a big hug for us. Until we meet again, you will always be loved.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 10:00am, 471 River Street, Mattapan, MA 02126 with a Repast immediately following the Memorial Service.
