Gene Taylor

Gene Taylor, 96, of North Kingstown, passed away September 9, 2021.  He was the husband of the late Clarisse M.R. (Picard) Taylor.  Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Florence (Spencer) Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a WWII Army Veteran having served in the Pacific Theater from Pearl Harbor to Tokyo.  He was a graduate of Bryant University and had retired from Amica Insurance Company as Assistant Treasurer.  He also owned and operated the Quonset Car Wash in North Kingstown.

He loved his family and always had time for his granddaughters.

He is survived by his children Charles S. Taylor (Beth) and Meredith J. Taylor (William Rothman); granddaughters Rachel N. Taylor and Emily K. Theriault (Kyle); and a nephew Ernest Picard (Kris).

His funeral will be private.  Donations in his memory may be made to Hope Health Hospice.
