Gerald Iadeluca, Sr., 91, of East Greenwich, passed away October 7, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose M. (Ferretti) Iadeluca. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmine and Anna (Campopiano) Iadeluca.
Mr. Iadeluca was a WWII Navy Veteran and part of the Normandy Invasion. After WWII he became a barber. He had been a Licensed Master Tradesman at American Hoechst Chemical for 35 years, a Union Steward and a lifetime member of the Teamsters.
Gerry had played Semi-Professional Baseball and had coached East Greenwich Little League, where he had coached his sons. He was a volunteer of the First Down Chain Markers Crew for East Greenwich High School, formerly the Head Usher at St. Francis de Sales Church and had been a member of the VFW.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons; Gerald Iadeluca, Jr. and his wife Nancy, Carl Iadeluca, Matthew Iadeluca and his wife Justine and Gregory Iadeluca, grandchildren; Ashley Cunday, Lindsay, Melanie, Hannah, Cameron, Kyle and Meghan Iadeluca and a sister Norma Hill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 13th at 12:00pm at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours: Thursday, October 12th 4-7pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.
