Gertrude A. Paquin

Gertrude A. Paquin, 97, of East Greenwich, passed away October 10, 2018.  She was the wife of the late Normand C. Paquin.  Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and Germaine (Pepin) Belanger.

Mrs. Paquin had worked as a cook for the East Greenwich School System and as a young woman, had worked in the Textile Mills in Woonsocket.  She also volunteered for the Town of East Greenwich.

A selfless person, her family and friends were her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne G. Mirandou and her husband Joseph and sons, David M. Paquin and his wife Wendy and John P. Paquin; sisters, Lillian Deragon, Bertha Gagnon, Jaqueline Harpin and Jeannette Morazzini and  grandchildren; Tyler A. Paquin, Ashley J. Mirandou, Danielle J. Armstrong, Carly Paquin and Jacob Paquin.  She was the mother of the late Rachel P. Daigneault and the sister of the late Lucille Demers and Paul Belanger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 16 th at 10:30am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick.  Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Calling hours:  Monday, October 15 th 4-7pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
