Gregory W. Morgan

Gregory “Willy” Morgan, 30, of Exeter, passed away June 18, 2017. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Monna L. Morgan and the late T. Gregory Mortin.

Gregory attended Exeter West Greenwich Regional High School and had taken classes at C.C.R.I. He was a Site Supervisor for Perspectives Corporation, where he was loved by the people he supported and his co-workers.

He was a self-taught musician, whose talents included guitar, drums, bass, key boards and any other instrument he could try. He played in several bands from Junior High to recently playing show in Colorado. Greg loved skateboarding, snowboarding, hiking and the outdoors.

Besides his mother he leaves sisters; Emily C. Morgan of North Kingstown, Angela L. Morgan of Exeter and Rachel C. Morgan of Hope Valley; a nephew Cameron Morgan and a niece Kaelyn Morgan and his maternal grandmother Monna E. Morgan. He was the grandson of the late William I. Morgan Sr.

He was the nephew of the late William I. Morgan Jr., Mary Getchell and Paula Hamilton, Joseph and Robin Morgan, Catherine Morgan, John and the late Maryann Morgan, Joan and Kenneth Pelletier, Michael and Cynthia Morgan. He was loved by all of his many cousins, friends and bandmates.

Greg, or Willy, however you knew him, had a unique sense of humor that brightened everyone’s day. His smile was infectious and it lit up the room when he entered. He would burn up the dance floor and his card was always full.

Greg had a deep love for his family, friends, music, animals, especially his cat Jack and nature. He will be sadly missed by all the lives he touched.

His funeral service will be Saturday, June 24th at 1:00pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00am to 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Morgan College Fund.
