Helene Stella Armstrong Cote

Helene Stella Armstrong Cote, adored mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 79.

Helene is survived by her daughters Rebecca Coté and Nichole Sterling, and son-in-law Kevin Sterling. She was the cherished grandmother of Hannah and Andrew Sterling, the beloved sister of her self-proclaimed "favorite," Patti Armstrong, and the loving sister of Thomas Armstrong and sister-in-law to Tracy Armstrong.

Helene had a gift for bringing people together around a table. Whether hosting deck parties, holiday celebrations, or her beloved "Appy Hour" with the girls, she cooked for everyone on every occasion — and her legendary key lime cheesecake never failed to steal the show.

She was quick to laugh, sharp of wit, and generous with both, endearing herself to the many friends she made in Charlestown and throughout her life. Helene had a varied career as a medical technologist, commercial fishing supply merchant, legal transcriber and caregiver. In everything she did, she was a capable, trusted friend and a devoted mother.

She will be remembered with deep affection by all whose lives she touched.

A Remembrance Service will be held at Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home of Patrick Quinn Funerals and Cremations, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown on Saturday, June 27, at 11:00 a.m.
