Irving Knight

Irving Knight, 93, passed away June 25, 2017. He was the husband of the late Gloria (Coolen) Knight and the late Gisele (Vanasse) Knight. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Frederick C. and Ellen (Ashworth) Knight.

Mr. Knight was a US Navy WWII veteran serving on the Sub Chaser, USS SC 1282, of which he was a plank owner. He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Warwick, RI.

He is survived by two children, John F. Knight and Pamela J. Ouellette, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

His funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday June 29th at 11:30 am in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, RI. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Barnabas Church, c/o the Needy Fund, 3257 Post Rd., Warwick, RI 02886.
