He accepted a position at Standard And Poor Global Inc in Centennial, Colorado from May 1986 - November 2016 as a Distribution Supervisor & Senior financial researcher with 30+ years of experience in financial service.
James, also lovingly known as Jim, was blessed with a large group of friends that he referred to as his family.
He was very proud of the community he came from and the friendships he developed since childhood. Many of those lifelong friendships formed at Columbia park Community center in Dunellen, New Jersey.
Some of Jim's favorite pastimes
were sight seeing and exploring.
He enjoyed watching sports and cheering on his home town team.
He also had a great passion for music of all genres and a love for travel.
In 2013 while surfing a dating website, Jim was matched with Alecia through common interests.
They exchanged phone numbers and spoke incessantly about family & traditions that were important to both of them.
Jim and Alecia began their long distance dating journey traveling back and forth from Colorado to Massachusetts. They enjoyed trying new food together, playing basketball and being with family.
One of Jim and Alecia's favorite places to travel to was his home state of New Jersey where Jim's sister, Christine, better known as Chris and brother in law, Joseph, better known as Duke, reside.
Jim truly enjoyed their quality time together and reminiscing about their childhood. Jim would always joke that while Chris was the oldest sister he was the big brother, speaking to his towering height over her. Jim enjoyed hearing stories from his mother where she would share about her time and excursions with Chris & Duke. Jim felt proud knowing his Mother and Sister were safe in Dukes care while he was in Colorado.
April 30th, 2016 Jim and Alecia exchanged vows and said “I Do” in Attleboro, Massachusetts with family and friends near and far. Jim became a stepfather to 6 children whom he loved dearly. He would later become a Grandfather, better known as PopPop to ten grandchildren and two grand-dogs.
Jim was a man of ethics. He was loving, loyal and kind. Jim was a great listener and teacher at heart. Every opportunity he had to speak life and positivity into someone he would take. He wasn’t selfish about sharing his knowledge or wisdom because he believed one plants the seed, one waters and God sends the increase. He was a man of his word. You could count on him.
He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
