Jane A. Sarrasin

68, of Providence, RI, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 16th at Roger Williams Hospital. Jane was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Sarrasin of Providence.  She was the sister of Gloria (Sarrasin) Czeczot of Providence and James Sarrasin of Providence.  She was the niece of the late Susie, Simon and George Altoonian.  She was also the loving Aunt of Laurie Ise of Providence, Cheryl Grenier of North Providence and great aunt of Lilly and Mia Medeiros and Evan and Joshua Grenier. Jane was formerly employed by Baer's Furniture Corporation in Florida for over 20 years.  She was the head illustrator for the company.  She truly loved her work and was so proud of her accomplishments. Anyone that knew Jane loved her for her artistic talents.  She would always have a pencil and paper nearby and would always be ready to sketch anything--it was her lifelong passion. Jane had a great love of animals, especially cats and would always have several rescues. Anytime you saw Jane she would always be beautifully dressed with her precious collection of costume jewelry.  She especially loved colored gems and turquoise.  Each piece she owned always told a story and she would proudly tell you in detail where each piece came from. Jane's sense of humor, artistic flair, and love of the beach and her life in Florida will never be forgotten.  She cherished her years in Florida--some of the best times in her life. Her eccentric spirit touched the lives of many and will be missed by everyone. Funeral and burial will be private.
