Jean M. Robinson

Jean M. Robinson, 59, passed away December 6, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 37 years Mark R. Robinson. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late John and Joan (Fallon) Gauthier.

Jean Robinson, lovingly known as “Meemo” or “Dr. Jean,” spent her life trying to leave all who crossed her path a little better. The embodiment of selflessness, she was a gentle, steady, nurturing presence—not only to her own children, but to all the neighborhood kids who found comfort, safety, and belonging in her home. Even in times when life was difficult, she made sure no child ever went without, offering warmth, meals, a bed, and a mother’s love to anyone who needed it. Her heart was limitless, her kindness quiet but powerful, and her devotion unwavering.

In her later years, she poured that same boundless love into her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Jean’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, and in the love she gave so freely and beautifully.

Besides her husband she is survived by two children, Jessica P. Robinson and Bradley Robinson, two step daughters Alana M. and Erin L., four grandchildren and seven siblings Joe Gauthier, John Gauthier, Jim Gauthier, Jeff Gauthier, Joanne Capaldi, Janice Strobel-Gauthier and Joyce Gauthier. She was the mother of the late Tara J. Robinson.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Noon in the Urquhart Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH.
